The Brodie Lab would like to congratulate Dr. Sarah McPeek for her successful dissertation defense! Her dissertation, "Food for thought: The ecological complexity of natural selection on resources in mutualisms" was presented publicly on Friday, November 22nd. Sarah moves onto a post-doctoral research appointment with the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology later this year in Jena, Germany. There she will be applying her fascination with the evolutionary ecology of mutualisms to a new system: beetle-microbe symbioses!
